11 Officials suspended in Udhampur for being ‘absent on duty’

Jammu and Kashmir government has suspended 11 officials in Poonch and Udhampur districts for ‘unauthorised absence’ from duty.

11 officials suspended in Udhampur for being 'absent on duty'Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM), Surankote, Afzal Mirza placed 10 erring officials of Health, Education and Sheep Husbandry department under suspension for their unauthorised absence from duty in Poonch district, an official spokesman said.

The SDM conducted surprise inspection of Medical Sub-Centre Draba where five officials were found absent and have been placed under suspension while some paramedics have been placed under suspension for unauthorised absence from duty at Medical Sub Centre Mastaan Dhara, he said.

In Sheep Husbandry Centre Behramgala, a Flock Supervisor and ASM were placed under suspension for absence from duty and in Government Middle School Boni Khet two teachers were suspended for unauthorised absence while suspension of one Master has also been recommended, he said.

In Udhampur district, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Angrez Singh Rana has placed a patwari under suspension with immediate effect here today.

The Patwari has been suspended on the receipt of number of serious complaints against him from different quarters, an official spokesman said.

He has been directed to report to the office of Divisional Commissioner Jammu till pending enquiry.
